Future Watch: Sandro Tonali Soccer Cards, Brescia – Sometimes an extremely talented player is found on a club who has had a difficult season. That is the case with young Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali. While his club will be relegated back to Serie B for next season, Tonali has been a standout performer destined for a much larger stage.

The 20-year old is a smooth playing creator who has a calmness in possession that only comes when a player has supreme confidence in his abilities. Tonali has earned that right. His skills are top class. He uses his body and strength to shield off defenders very well and play through contact. He is precise with his dribbling and ball handling.

Tonali is quick and fast and loves to play in tight spaces. He picks out the correct pass often and is not afraid to dig in to win the ball back when necessary. He is a classy player who reminds me a bit of the master Andrea Pirlo in his ability to not rush his play.

Despite playing on a side that is averaging less than a goal scored per game, Tonali is in the top 15 in Serie A in assists with seven, and the top 20 in key passes this season with 18. He also scored one goal in league play.

At the international level, Tonali helped lead the Italian U-19 side to the final of the UEFA U-19 Championship in 2018. He has had three caps so far for the full national team and looks to be poised to establish himself for the Azzurri.
