MLB Future Watch: Jordan Walker Baseball Cards, St. Louis CardinalsMLB Future Watch: Jordan Walker Baseball Cards, St. Louis CardinalsJordan Walker was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 21st overall pick in the 2020 MLB Amateur Draft. The 6’6” 245-pound outfielder has been showing off his tools every season. In his senior season at Decatur High School, in Decatur, GA, Walker hit .457 with 4 home runs and 15 RBI before the season was canceled due to the pandemic. He won the Gatorade Georgia Baseball Player of the Year Award.

During the pandemic, Walker spent time at the Cardinals’ Alternate Training Site. It kept him moving and playing to a degree.

In 2021, Walker played for two teams. He started the season in A-Ball and ended it in A+ ball playing for the Peoria Chiefs. His combined numbers were quite good. He hit 25 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs, and 48 RBI with 14 steals and a stellar .388 on-base percentage.

In 2022, Walker played in the Arizona Fall League after his season in AA. His combined numbers were 31 doubles, 3 triples, 19 home runs, and 68 RBI with 22 steals. He hit .306 and had a .388 on-base percentage. To say he has some talent would be an understatement.

Walker did well in Spring Training and made the Cardinals squad. He had a hit in his first 12 games to start his career. That’s something Ted Williams never did. While you let that set in, he ended up tying the record for the youngest player to accomplish this feat. He tied Eddie Murphy, who did this with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1912! Since 1900, this is the eighth-longest streak to start a season for a player of any age. During the streak, Walker hit 2 doubles and 2 home runs with 8 RBI and a .294 batting average with a .333 on-base percentage. He is definitely a hot commodity.MLB Future Watch: Jordan Walker Baseball Cards, St. Louis Cardinals

MLB Future Watch: Jordan Walker Cards Worth Chasing

One card to get would be Walker’s 2022 Bowman Draft. The photo is terrific, showing Walker leaning on his back leg getting ready to take a big cut.

If you get the 2022 Bowman Draft Refractor card, it shows Walker in the field. He’s getting ready to make a big throw. I like the fact that the card has very little logo. It’s very well done.

Another fun card is his 2023 Topps Opening Day. It shows him swinging and has bunting in the logo.
