MLB Future Watch: Sal Frelick Baseball Cards, Milwaukee Brewers – Sal Frelick was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 15th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Amateur Draft. This 5’9” outfielder was a star at Boston College. NCAA baseball has proven to be a very good breeding ground for future major league players.
2019 was Frelick’s freshman season at Boston College. He hit 8 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 32 RBI, 18 steals, and had a tremendous .367 batting average. He received All-ACC Second-Team honors and the ACC All-Freshman team as well.
His sophomore season was during the pandemic. Frelick started in all 15 games. He hit 2 home runs, scored 17, and had a .380 on-base percentage.
In 2021, he had his best season. Frelick hit 17 doubles, 2 triples, and 6 home runs with 27 RBI and a .359 batting average. His 13 steals complemented his .443 on-base percentage.
Frelick is a terrific athlete. He played hockey and football as well. Depending on who you talk to, Frelick could be the Brewers’ best prospect but MLB has him ranked 2nd https://www.mlb.com/prospects/brewers/sal-frelick-686217. The Brewers will likely use him as a leadoff hitter so next spring training will be his proving ground, his time. Get in on him now.
After BC, Frelick played in three different levels before the end of the 2021 season. He started playing rookie ball and ended at A+ ball with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He hit 8 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs, and 21 RBI with 12 steals and a .329 batting average.
In 2022, Frelick started out in A+ and then was elevated all the way to AAA playing for the Nashville Sounds. In his first AAA at-bat, he doubled. He has a compact swing that he’s able to hit to all fields. His combined numbers were 25 doubles, 6 triples, 9 home runs, 51 RBI, 21 steals, and a .328 batting average. He made a leap in his play.

One card that’s hot is Frelick’s 2022 Bowman 1st. He’s in Brewers gear and looks like he’s trotting off the field after making a play.
A great looking card is his 2022 Bowman Chrome Blue Mojo Auto-Refractor. The card is serial numbered. It has an interesting design and an autograph of one of the Brewers’ top prospects. You can’t lose.
