Tuukka Rask was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 21st overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Before seeing the ice for the Leafs, he was traded to the Boston Bruins in 2006. This would go on to be considered one of the worst trades in Maple Leafs history as Rask would go onto become one of the premier goalies in the NHL.

Rask made his NHL debut in 2007. His rookie cards appear in 2007-08 hockey sets. Collectors can find his Upper Deck Young Guns rookie card in 2007-08 Series 2 Hockey. Rask would play behind former Vezina Trophy Winner Tim Thomas in his first few seasons before grabbing the reigns as a starter after the 2012-13 lockout.

Since the lockout, Rask has been the primary netminder for Boston. He won the Vezina Trophy in 2014, and has the most games played, wins and shutouts in playoff series-clinching games for a Bruins goaltender in franchise history. As a top celebrated goaltender in the NHL, collectors can find Rask’s cards throughout Upper Deck’s entire hockey catalog. Look for him in 2018-19 sets including O-Pee-Chee Platinum, Engrained, ICE, SPx and many more!
